Caramelized onions with red wine recipe

Caramelized onions with red wine recipe

If you want to make a different to the traditional caramelised onion, I propose this super recipe of caramelized onions, red wine, you'll see that special taste of da red wine.

Ingredients:

-A large fresh onion
-Red wine, half DRAM
-Sugar, one tablespoon
-Virgin olive oil

Preparation:

If you like caramelized onion and want to try something new, this recipe is perfect for you. The result is very tasty, since the combination of the sweetness of the caramelization and the touch of red wine makes it a great choice. We encourage you to try it out, so you below how to do it step by step.

As always, should Peel the onion and cut it as you like us. We always make it not very thick Julienne, but you can cut it as you wish. With already cut onions, let's put to heat a pan over rather low heat with the base cover of olive oil. When the oil is very hot, add chopped onions, and let that several minutes, go to cook without stirring so that it does not stick.

Once the onions are beginning to pocharse, i.e. they are softening and becoming a semi color transparent, we will incorporate into the Pan half glass of red wine and a tablespoon of sugar, which can be blanquilla or moreno, as you prefer. Stir to mix all the ingredients and let about five or six minutes over low heat.

Once we check that the alcohol has evaporated completely, give heat to the onion, and separated it to then serve as a garnish or to form some kind of canape or incoming. We hope that you enjoy this recommendation.
